THROUGH LOOKING (2014 - 2024)

A nod to the tradition of painting en plein air, I painted the blinds in situ, recording my response to colors and light in a landscape at a specific point in time. The grid imparting a democratic character to the composition, demarking space into numerous equal units and engaging the entire surface area, the linear graphic alluding to the cartographic grid, a system developed to map the earth's surface.
